FASHION TREND: THANK GOD FOR LOAFERS

I love this new trend because comfort comes first. I love pumps and platforms, but thank God for pretty shoes that feel like slippers.

Now slippers come in every design and they give the most exquisite and elegant look to any outfit. They also give a special touch of uniqueness because they come in so many different colors and textures. So here are some great models that can go perfectly with jeans or skinny colorful pants. Try them with a simple white shirt, and if you want to get creative, a cardigan would be like the cherry on top.

Me encanta esta moda donde la comodidad significa todo. Me encantan las plataformas y los tacones pero a veces uno dice gracias Dios por zapatos lindos que se vean como pantuflas.

Ahora las pantuflas vienen en cualquier diseño y le dan el más exquisito y elegante look a cualquier atuendo. Las pantuflas también dan ese toque especial y único porque vienen en tan diferentes colores y texturas. Aquí te dejo algunos que irán perfectos con cualquier jeans o pantalones de punta. Trata de combinarlos con una camiseta simple y, para darle ese toque de creatividad, un saquito podría ser como la cereza encima.

A CLASSIC: BLACK AND WHITE CHALLENGE

Without a doubt, we all have black and white garments. I'm a lawyer so a lot  of my work outfits have a white or black base in order to make them look more formal. Today's outfit is the one I used on Wednesday for work. I normally use this type of outfit with a black jacket but, in this case, to avoid showing a look that's too serious, I decided to take off the jacket and this was the result. And let me tell you, I like it a lot better like this.

Sin lugar a dudas todas tenemos prendas blancas y negras. Soy abogado y muchos de mis outfits para ir a trabajar llevan como base el blanco o el negro, ya que hacen que tu look se vea más formal. El outfit de ahora es el que usé el miércoles para ir a trabajar. Normalmente uso este tipo de outfits con un saco negro, pero en este caso, para no mostrarles un look serio, se lo quité y este fue el resultado. Y les cuento que me gustó más de esta manera.

This week we bring you a very casual outfit which is perfect for a Saturday afternoon. We're highlighting the flower trend, as well as pointy toe shoes, both of which we've been hearing a lot about lately.  The flowered shirt, which is a bit loose and even a little chunky, is combined with some skinny jeans to create a certain proportion between the pieces, as well as to make the shoes stand out a bit more.

Esta semana les traemos un outfit muy casual y perfecto para un sábado por la tarde, en el que estamos usando como base la tendencia de flores, y la de zapatos pointy toe, de las que ya hemos estado escuchando muchísimo. La camisa floreada, al ser floja y hasta un poco chunky, la he combinado con unos skinny jeans para crear proporción entre las prendas, así como para que los zapatos se luzcan mejor.

PURPLE DAY

There's nothing I like more than to wear comfortable and yet, stylish outfits when going to the beach. Today I bring you a very simple outfit for going to the beach: a purple tunic with red accents. I've had this tunic for about a year. I designed it, though I think its actually a very simple design, the fabric is what actually makes it a little more formal. I love it and I've even wore it as a shirt. I promise to teach you how to do this one day. 

To complete the look, I added a Panama hat, black sandals and bracelets.

No hay nada que me guste más que usar prendas cómodas pero estilosas a la hora de ir al mar. Ahora les traigo un outfit de lo más sencillo, para usarlo en la playa:  una túnica morada con toques de rojo. La túnica la tengo desde hace como un año y la diseñé yo, aunque el diseño creo que es bastante simple, el tipo de tela la hace un poco más formal. Y me encanta porque ya la he usado como camisa, prometo enseñarles un día como la uso de esa forma.

Para completar el look le agregué un Panamá hat, sandalias negras y pulseras.

Como todas sabemos, moda es de accesorios y épocas. Ahorita me encantan estos accesorios: lentes de sol. Para mí los lentes de sol son perfectos para reflejar quién eres y qué eres capaz de hacer. No olvides escoger la forma de tus lentes teniendo en mente la forma de tu cara y el tipo de tu nariz. FUCHSIA POLKA DOTS DRESS

This was one of the dresses I bought at Lefties, in Barcelona last summer and which I hadn't had the chance to wear yet. But this past Saturday I had a the baptism of a friend's baby and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to use it. I though the pink fuchsia color with the white polka dots, as well as the cut of the dress, were very cute. I combined it with white pearls, which you can see in the necklace, in the earrings and in the bracelet. To keep the look simple, I added nude-colored shoes.



Este fue uno de los vestidos que compré en Lefties, en Barcelona el verano pasado y no había tenido la oportunidad de ponérmelo. Pero el sábado por la mañana tuve un bautizo y me pareció el momento oportuno para usarlo, ya que el color rosado fucsia con los lunares blancos y el corte del vestido se me hicieron muy tiernos. Lo combiné super simple, con perlas blancas, tanto en los aritos y en el collar, como en la pulsera. Y para mantener el look simple, unos zapatos color nude.

COACHELLA 2012: OUR FAVORITE LOOKS

On today's post I want to share with you some of my favorite looks so far at Coachell music festival.

This is an event that is not just about music, but there's also a big focus on fashion.

Every year I'm eagerly wait for the arrival of this festival to inspire me with all its peculiar looks. For me, the perfect look for Coachella must be super relaxed and comfortable, with a touch of vintage, composed of key pieces to give it the outfit that fashion touch.



En el post de ahora, quiero compartir con ustedes los que hasta el momento, han sido mis looks favoritos del festival de música Coachella.

Este es un evento que no solo se trata de música, sino que también de mostrar lo mejor en cuanto a moda.

Año con año espero la llegada del festival, para inspirarme con los tan peculiares looks.

Para mí, el look perfecto para Coachella, debe de ser sumamente relajado y cómodo, con un toque de vintage, llevando piezas claves para darle el toque fashion al outfit.

WHITE PANTS

 

You know how colored pants are on a big trend right now. Well white is no exception. This season White is back. I know this phrase is a bit old but yes they are the new black.

White pants this season show what blacks plants has shown for the last 10 years more, they go with everything and I’m just crazy about them. They are back in demin, skinny jeans, flare, Capri and more.

So here are some ideas I just simply love

Tu sabes como los pantalones de colores están súper de moda ahorita. Bueno pues el color blanco no es ninguna excepción por que el blanco está de vuelta. Sabemos que la frase “es el nuevo negro” esta algo trillado pero es cierto los pantalones blancos son el nuevo negro esta temporada. Los pantalones blancos regresasn de nuevo y ahora vienen hacer lo que han hecho por mas de una década los pantalones negros combinar con todo. Ahora los puedes ver de regreso en jeans, en capri, en skyny, acampanados y mucho mas.

Asi que aquí hay unas ideas que me encantan y que me fascinaría tenerlas todas!

MANGO SUMMER 2012 LOOKBOOK

Ya es fin de semana, y qué mejor manera de comenzarlo que con inspiración.

Mango presentó recientemente el lookbook para la temporada de verano, en el cual podremos encontrar mucho color, mezclilla, estampados, vestidos y faldas maxi. El resultado es una propuesta con un estilo muy casual y sofisticado.

BRIGHT

We have been talking about bright colors in accessories, but we cannot leave behind our own accessories: Nails!

Nail polishes are a huge trend right now with bright colors, patterns or some believe that every nail doesn’t have to be the same. You can choose what you like. I personally like bright and different colors and don’t particularly like how patterns and designs look on me, but that’s depends on what you like. Here are some ideas you could use to give that pop of color to any outfit and combine with a really cute and colorful arm candy!

Hemos venido hablando de colores brillantes en los accesorios pero no podemos olvidar aquellos accesorios que ya traemos de fábrica: nuestras uñas.

Los pinta uñas están ahorita súper en boa, con colores brillantes, diseños o ninguna uña tiene que ser igual. Tú puedes escoger lo que te gusta. Personalmente me gusta lo brillante, lo diferente pero no me gusta mucho los diseños. Pero eso es en mi y todo depende de lo que te pondrás o de lo que te gusta. Aquí les dejo algunas ideas de lo que puedes usar para darle esos resaltes de color a cualquier combinación y también la puedes combinar con muchas pulseras! 

FLORAL SHORTS AND COLORS

This is a very comfortable outfit for a Saturday afternoon in which I've tried to combine several trends in one look: colorblock, flowers and ankle strap shoes. I've loved these shorts ever since I saw them in Zara.  The fabric is beautiful and the print even more. I combined them with a pink shirt and with these colorblock Zara shoes. 

As you might notice, I love these style of shoes Zara has come out with. They're great for spring and they represent the colorblock that I love.  In order to complement the look, I added a green necklace to create a sort of colorblock with the pink shirt.

On this and this post you've seen me wear these very same shoes, but in color orange with beige.  Zara has truly made my spring by releasing my favorite shoes of the season (orange with beige) in several more colors and I promise you that I want them all!

Going back to the outfit, I have to tell you that in the beginning, while thinking what to combine these shorts with, I thought that maybe it would look too colorful. But when I tried the combination with all the colors I thought it was a great outfit because all the colors contrast perfectly between each other and with the shorts colors.

Este es un outfit muy cómodo para un sábado por la tarde en el que he querido combinar varias tendencias en un mismo look: el colorblock, flores y zapatos ankle straps.  Amé estos shorts desde que los ví en Zara. La tela es preciosa y el estampado aún mas. Los combiné con una camisa rosada fucsia y con estos zapatos colorblock también de Zara.

Como podrán darse cuenta, me encanta este estilo de zapatos que Zara ha sacado. Son muy primaverales y llevan la tendencia de colorblock que tanto me gusta. Por eso, para complementar el look, le agregué un collar verde y, de esta forma crear una especie de colorblock con la camisa fucsia.

 En este y este post me han visto exactamente los zapatos que uso en el outfit de ahora, solo que en color anaranjado con beige. Zara de verdad que ha hecho mi primavera al sacar mis zapatos favoritos de la temporada (los anaranjados con beige) en varios colores más y les prometo que los quiero todos.

Volviendo al outfit, les cuento que en un principio, al solo tener en mente con qué quería combinar los shorts, pensé que talvez se vería demasiado colorido. Pero, al probármelo con todos estos colores me pareció que se veía super lindo el outfit, ya que todos los colores contrastan perfectamente entre ellos y con los colores del short.
