No hay cosa que me guste más que alguna prenda traiga algún detalle inesperado. Y eso es justo lo que me paso con esta camisa. Si la ven, es sumamente sencilla de adelante. Pero al darte la vuelta SORPRESA, ves un escote divino con un elástico precioso en color neón. Como quería proyectar un outfit sencillo para que la espalda de la camisa fuera la que se robara la atención, combiné la camisa con un leggins, high heels negros y accesorios dorados.

There's nothing I love more than a garment that has some unexpected detail. And that's exactly what happened with this shirt. If you look at it, it's really simple from the front. But when you look at the back, SURPRISE: it's a backless shirt with a wonderful neon colored elastic. Since I wanted the back of the shirt to rob all the attention, I combined the shirt with leggins, black high heels and gold accessories.

ONE MINUTE MAKEOVER: ROLL UP YOUR JEANS

As we have always said before: details can make the difference! This is why on our ONE MINUTE MAKEOVER posts we want to show you how with a simple detail, we can add a different touch to our outfits. 

Lots of times we get up in the morning with almost no time to think what to wear, or are simply not in the mood to wear an elaborate outfit.

On today's post we want to share a simple tip that will turn your outfit from a simple one into something chic!

We're talking about simply rolling up your jeans!!! It's a perfect detail when wearing boyfriend jeans or your favorite skinnys.  Rolling up your jeans is one of the great trends of the season. The biggest trendsetters and fashion stars never go out with out rolling their jeans!

As you might have noticed on this and this post, I personally love to wear jeans like this. It's the best way to get the best from your jeans and it's also a very stylish and comfortable way to use them.

A mí en lo personal, y como ya se habrán dado cuenta en este y este post, me encanta usar así los jeans ya que no solo estoy sacándole el máximo provecho a mis jeans sino que es una manera muy estilizada y cómoda de usarlos.

NATURAL TIPS

Una amiga que cree mucho en los resultados naturales me enseñó tres tips que tengo que compartirlos con ustedes:

Cuidado del cabello: cuando el cabello se ve dañado y reseco, cada 15 días  coloca aloe  natural en tu pelo. Puedes comprar la planta en cualquier vivero córtale sus “hojas” y extraerle la gel, al tener el extracto te lo  puedes colocar en todo el pelo, lo peinas, te haces un moño y te pones un gorro de baño o bolsa plástica para que el calor ayude a que actúen sus propiedad regeneradoras  déjalo 15 minutos (ella lo deja toda la noche), al día siguiente lo lavas bien.

 El aloe Vera o sábila natural te da brillo al cabello, regenera la puntas y lo deja saludable. También funciona en cicatrices.

Brillo: coloca medio aguacate y una cucharada de mayonesa, mézclalos bien y haz lo mismo que con la sábila.

Crecimiento: coloca un blister de pastillas anticonceptivas en tu shampoo y prepárate para que crezca increíblemente.

Cuéntanos que tip natural  tienes para que tu cabello  se vea increíble.

A friend that believe in natural products show me 3 great tips that i have to share with yo:

Hair care: when the hair looks damage and dry, every 15 days you can use natural aloe gel in your hair. You can get the plant in any garden or nursery; cut the “leaves” and extracts with a knife the gel, then put the gel on your hair and brush it. When you have in your hair do a bund and put a shower cap or a plastic bag in your head for the heat to act faster. Leave it for 15 days (my friend keep it for the night)  and then shampoo it well.

Natural Aloe gives natural shine to hour hair, regenerates the ends leaving it healthy. Also Works with scars.

Shine: mix avocado, olive oir and mayonnaise until you do a paste, then apply it in your hair like the aloe instructions.

Growth: put contraceptive pills in your shampoo and get ready for it to grow beautiful.

Right now canvas shoes are just back! Yes back they where a really strong trend during the 70´s - 80’s, where brands like Converse and Keds was the most representative in the canvas shoe fashion industry.

SPIKES!

ZARA SPIKES NECKLACE/ STRADIVARIUS SHIRT/ ZARA HIGH WAIST PANTS/ ACCENTO BRACELET/ MICHAEL KORS WATCH

As always, I love participating on the challenges organized by Nany's Klozet, Flor de Maria Fashion and Ashes into Fashion.  When this week's challenge was published, seeing that it was about using spikes/studs, I just loved the idea. But this time was a bit more complicated because a few days ago I ordered a few things with spikes online, but they'll be delivered in about 3 weeks, which made a lot more difficult because it's not a trend that you will find in just any store here. But, just when I was about to give up, I saw this necklace at ZARA y fell in love with it as I laid eyes on it. I've wore it twice this week already, and one of those times was this outfit shown here.

Many of you might shy away from this trend because it seem as if it adds a rocker touch to the look,  it might seem to strong, or even remind you of  punk fashion. But believe me, depending on the way we use this trend, it can be very feminine. With this outfit, I wanted to focus the attention completely on the necklace so I went with something simple: black high-waist pants and a white shirt, both from Zara.

Como siempre, me encanta participar en los retos que organizan Nany's Klozet, Flor de Maria Fashion y Ashes into Fashion. Al publicar el reto de esta semana y ver que era usar spikes/studs, me encantó la idea. Pero esta vez fue más complicado porque justo hace un par de días mandé a pedir a una tienda online un par de cositas con spikes y me van a venir hasta en 3 semanas, por lo que para este reto se me hizo un poquito más difícil buscar algo así ya que prácticamente ninguna tienda tenia ropa o accesorios con esta tendencia. Cuando ya me iba a dar por vencida, vi este collar en ZARA y créanme que me enamoré al solo verlo. Ya lo he usado 2 veces en lo que va de la semana, una de esas veces es este outfit.

A muchas les podrá dar un poquito de miedo usar esta tendencia porque si parece que le da a un look un toque muy roquero y, hasta cierto punto, algo fuerte y les podrá recordar también a la moda punk. Pero créanme que deperndiendo en la forma que los usemos, pueden llegar a ser muy femeninos. Con este outfit quise centrar completamente la atención en el collar así que me fui por lo mas simple: pantalón negro a la cintura y camisa blanca, ambas cosas de Zara.

ZARA TRF LOOKBOOK

The weekend is here and there's no better time to go shopping. So we would like to share with you Zara's lookbook to see what's in store for us this month. I must say, for the moment, this is one of my favorite lookbooks. We can see clothing with the latest trends like denim, sparks (or studs) and military green, which was trending a few seasons ago.

Es fin de semana y qué mejor que irnos de shopping, por lo que compartimos con ustedes el nuevo lookbook de Zara para ir viendo qué es lo que esta tienda tendrá este mes. Y debo confesarles que es uno de mis lookbooks favoritos por el momento, ya que podremos encontrar ropa con las últimas tendencias como la mezclilla, los sparks (o studs) y el verde militar que tan de moda estuvo hace algunas temporadas.

HANDS IN MY POCKETS

Zara Maxi skirt/ Zara golden belt/ Jessica Simpson platforms/ Michael Kors Watch

 When wearing a maxi skirt the first thing that comes to mind is comfort. This is why, as you may have noticed already, when I have used this type of skirts before, I've generally wore them with sandals to be as comfortable as possible. But this time I wanted to wear a maxi skirt with pumps because it completely changes the image you project compared with wearing them with sandals. When wearing a maxi skirt, especially one with pleats,  combined with pumps, the look becomes more stylized, while looking a little taller. On this occasion I decided to combine the outfit with a purple lilac shirt to create a pastel color-block.  I wore this outfit this past Saturday afternoon to do a little shopping and later on for dinner with my husband (sushi!!!).

 

Al usar una maxi skirt lo primero que se me viene a la mente es "comodidad", por lo que, como podrán haberse dado cuenta, las veces anteriores que he usado este tipo de faldas las he usado con sandalias para poder estar lo más cómoda posible. Pero esta vez quise usar una maxi skirt con plataformas ya que cambia completamente la imagen que proyecta al usarlas con sandalias. Al usar una maxi skirt, especialmente las que tienen paletones, con plataformas estiliza la figura y da la apariencia de vernos un poquito más altas. Esta vez estoy usando esta falda con una camisa morado lila para crear un pastel color block. Este outfit lo usé el sábado por la tarde para ir a hacer unas compras y luego en la noche a cenar sushi con mi esposo.

SUMMER ESSENTIALS

We are about to start the summer, and like in any season, we have to prepare ourselves. The change in season doesn't mean we have to spend every last cent to buy the latest in fashion. It's enough to have basic pieces in our closet for every season. These summer essentials, you could argue, are the easiest to find, and I'm sure that half of the garments you'll see on this post, many of us will already have them in our closet.

First things first: finding those garments. Then, little by little in future posts, we'll show you how to get the most from these pieces and you'll see your closet get bigger.

Estamos a punto de entrar en el verano, y como en cada temporada, nos tenemos que preparar. El cambio de temporada no significa sacar el último centavo para poder estar a la última moda, sino que basta con tener en nuestro clóset prendas básicas de cada estación. Las prendas básicas del verano se podría decir que son de las más fáciles de conseguir, y estoy segura que mas de la mitad de prendas de las que les presentaré en este post las tenemos en nuestro clóset.

Primero lo primero: a buscar estas prendas, y luego poco a poco en futuros posts les enseñaremos como sacarle el máximo provecho a cada una de estas prendas y verán que su armario se va a volver gigantesco.

SPECIAL DETAILS

Me encanta como se escucha “detalles especiales” y me gusta más como se escucha en un atuendo. ¿Por qué? Porque detalles fáciles dan un extra en cualquier combinación.

Les he listado algunas ideas de lo que pudiéramos usar en cualquier look hasta con un vestido negro. Me gusta como los anillos grandes de colores lucen y las pulseras agregan un poco de color a las combinaciones de ropa. Esos accesorios de colores de los que hemos hablado en posts anteriores y que vienen combinados con fuertes tendencias como las calaveritas, las pulseras de amor y amistad, y las tachuelas.

También me gusta como los saquitos y los suéteres se ven tan diferente con solo doblarles las mangas de la camisa de adentro.

Así que hagamos una lluvia de ideas… ¿cuál es tu detalle especial?

I love how “special details” sound, and in outfit it sounds even better. Why? Because beautiful easy details bring that “extra mile” to an outfit.

So I would like to list some ideas we can use on any look, even with a black dress. I like how colorful, big rings and bracelets add that color pop to a look. Combining them with the latest colors we have mentioned in previous posts and also with a strong trend such a skulls, friendship/love bracelets and studs.

I also love how blazers and cardigans look and how they can look so different just by folding the sleeves out of a cardigan.

So let’s brain storm… what is your special detail?

SOFT CROCHET

Today I bring you an outfit wearing once again, these crochet shorts. I wear them again because I love them. They are easy to combine and perfect for this season when it gets way too hot outside sometimes.

This time I decided to combine them with a sheer yellow shirt and a pair of nude shoes, to keep the look always in clear tones.

As I mentioned before in this post, wearing the mixed prints trend becomes less complicated when we combine with embroidered fabrics with some sort of design or with some accessory with prints. This is why I added an animal print bag, so that along with the embroidered flower short, they could create a mixed print. Easy enough isn't it?

¿Cómo están? Les traigo un outfit usando nuevamente estos shorts de crochet. Y los vuelvo a usar porque me encanta. Son super combinables y perfectos para esta temporada donde el calor muchas veces se vuelve insoportable.

Esta vez los estoy combinando con una camisa amarilla clarita y con unos zapatos nude, para mantener el look siempre en tonos claros. 

Y como les comentaba en este post, usar la tendencia mixed prints se vuelve menos complicada cuando combinamos telas bordadas con algún diseño y algún accesorio con estampados. Por eso le agregué al outfit una cartera animal print, para que junto con el bordado de flores del short, crearan el mixed print. Fácil ¿verdad?

SUMMER 2012 NAIL POLISH COLOR TREND

On today's post we bring you the nail color trends for the summer 2012 season.  Summer is a season that is characterized by vibrant colors and what better way to add color to the season than with the colors that have stood out all spring: neon and pastel colors. En el post de ahora les traemos las tendencias en colores para uñas para la temporada de verano 2012. El verano es una temporada que se caracteriza por los colores vibrantes y qué mejor manera de darle color al verano que con los colores que se han llevado los aplausos en la primavera: los colores neón y los pasteles. Si todavía piensas mucho a la hora de usar en tu ropa los colores neón o pastel, llevar estas tendencias en tus uñas es una muy buena forma de comenzar.

Estos son perfectos para cuando usas colores fuertes en tu ropa, y también son una muy buena opción para ocasiones un poco más formales, como para alguna cena o si trabajas en un lugar donde hay códigos de vestimenta.

SNEAK-PEEK: LET'S GO VINTAGE

Bajo la dirección de René Barrera y el lente de Celina Kreysa, Fashionlifela presenta una preciosa sesión fotográfica que mezcla un look vintage y algunos giros actuales que da como resultado una interesante propuesta.

La selección de vestuario vintage de Tessy Morales (diseñadora salvadoreña), algunas piezas propias de la diseñadora y una bella locación fueron la materia prima para crear estos look melancólicos.

Cabe destacar que estas piezas vintage son originales y de prestigiosos diseñadores entre los que resaltan: Dior, Lanvin y Diane Von Fürstenberg. La contraparte actual se presenta por algunos accesorios, pero sobretodo por los llamativos zapatos Steve Madden.

Under the direction of Rene Barrera and the lens of Celina Kreysa, Fashionlifela presents an amazing photo session with a mix between vintage look and some modern twists, resulting in a very interesting proposal that we want to share with you.

The selection of vintage wardrobe by Tessy Morales (Salvadorean designer), some pieces from the designer herself, and a beautiful location were the raw materials needed to create this great melancholic look.

This original vintage pieces are from very prestigious designers like: Dior, Lanvin y Diane Von Fürstenberg. They also present accessories and amazing Steve Madden shoes, a new collection available in our country.

BRIGHT COLORS ARE MORE FUN

You already know that I love clothes with lots of colors, so I jump at any chance to wear clothes like these.

This look is from a few weeks ago, but I thought it was worth posting it on the blog. I wore this for a Sunday afternoon aiming to be comfortable. So I decided to wear this fuchsia colored pants from Zara, and a striped  sweater, also from Zara. I loved the contrast between the fuchsia and royal blue which made the outfit actually work. I thought that the black stripes on the sweater created a great balance along with the other bright colors.

What better than to add a lot of color to a day like Sunday which, at least for me, is a very boring day.

I combined the look with Tory Burch flats, gold accessories and a navy blue bag!

Ya de sobra saben que me encanta la ropa con muchos colores, asi que aprovecho cada oportunidad que puedo para usar ropa así.

Este look es de ya hace unas semanas, pero creo que vale la pena postearlo en el blog. Lo usé para la tarde de un domingo en lo que quería estar de lo mas cómoda. Asi que decidí usar estos pantalones fucsia de Zara que son de lo mas cómodos con este sweater rayado también de Zara. El contraste que hacen el fucsia y el royal blue me encantan, por lo que este outfit me encantó. Y me parece que las rayas negras del sweater equilibran muy bien el contraste tan fuerte que producen el fucsia y el royal blue juntos. 

Qué mejor que ponerle mucho color a un día como el domingo, que al menos para mí, es un día aburrido. 

Combiné el look con flats Tory Burch, accesorios dorados y cartera navy blue!

COLOR ALERT

Ahora quiero inspirarles a usar colores y a estar alerta de lo que estará de moda por lo menos 2 temporadas mas, de esta forma la próxima vez que te encuentres de shopping piensa dos veces y toma en cuenta si esta de moda y si es reusable.

Los colores que estan de moda y se quedan son:

·         Blancos: los blancos no se van nunca y va perfecto con todo; lo hemos visto con influecias deportivas, transparentes, clásicos, cedas y ojo con los capiados.

·         Mexclas: los bloques de color estan de moda y sigue quedándose, prueba bloques de color pastel (como lo hizo Raque algunos post atrás)

·         Naranja: si estas planeando una boda pronto, el vestido de las madrinas tiene que ser naranja. Si se queda por otra temporada y lo puedes pensar en bikinis, sacos, camisas clásicas vestidos todo!

·         Lima o limón: no es un coctel es la versión suave del neon que viene en tono suave resaltando el tono de cualquier outfit

·         Azul: el color aqua y el turquesa no se va tampoco, es hora de cambiar el azul marino por acua marino mezclado con blanco hacen una perfecta pareja.

·         Verde: un bosque debió de ser la inspiración para los estampados de verdes que traen un look inolvidable y poco común.

·         Tomate rojo: un color perfecto para hacer color pop

·         Amarillo: hemos venido hablando del amarillo en nuestros post anteriores a si que no seas tímida y calienta el invierno y espera el verano con el amarillo se queda y no se va.

·         Neutrales: zapatos, accesorios y combinaciones enteras hacen una combinación perfecta.

Today I would like to inspire you with the use of colors and also to be alert of whats in and what going to be in for at least two seasons; This way, next time you go shoping think twice. Think fashion and think reusable.

So the colors that are really on trend this season are:

·         Whites: whites are never going to nowere, they are perfect for everthing we have been seen them in sport influences, transparent, clasics, silks be aware that layers are also a huge upcoming trend.

·          Mix: we have been hearing about color blocking and its staying for longer but Pastel Mix. (like Raquel mixed them some post ago) well mixed pastel are coming strong for next year too: try soft peach, lila, mints and baby blues.

·         Orange: if you are planning a wedding soon, orange should be your bridesmaids color. Yes its staying for another season bikinis, blazers, chassic shirts, dresses everything! Go mad!

·         Lime and lemon a soft version of the neon its coming as a colour degrade adding a colour pop

·          Blue: go aqua turquoise it will never go away, it’s time to change the blue marine to the aqua marine mixed with white.. perfect combination.

·         Green: a forest should be the inspiration every time of prints in green tones should be stunning.

·         Red Tomato: a perfect color to accentuate a color pop

·         Yellow: we have talk about yellow in our posts before so don’t be shy to warm your winter with yellow and then reuse it for your summer againg is coming back and its not going anywhere.

·         Neutral: shoes, accessories or an entire outfit can go perfect in neutrals

We are almost halfway through the month and I hadn't had the chance to share with you Zara's June lookbook.  I always find lots of inspiration from this store's lookbooks, and this month hasn't been the exception. Many times I choose my monthly shopping list based on these proposals.  On this lookbook, specifically on the woman line, we can find basic garments in black and white, but also in the color tangerine, to add a touch of color to our closet. 

I hope you also like this month's lookbook as much as I did!

Ya estamos casi a mediados de mes y no había compartido con ustedes el lookbook de Zara de este mes de Junio. Siempre me inspiran muchísimo los lookbooks de esta tienda, y este mes no ha sido la excepción. Muchas veces a partir de sus propuestas elijo mi lista de compras de cada mes! En el lookbook de la línea woman podremos encontrar prendas básicas en colores blanco y negro pero también el color tangerine para agregarle ese toque de color a nuestro closet.

Summer is about to start and we have to begin preparing our closet for the season. In past runways we have been inspired not only with clothes for our day-to-day, but also for beach outfits.

El verano esta a punto de comenzar, y tenemos que ir preparando nuestro closet para esa temporada. En las pasadas pasarelas pudimos inspirarnos muchísimo no solo en ropa para nuestro día a día, sino que también para la playa.
